Empty the Clip - Case Study

Overview:
'Empty the Clip' is a physical theatre work blending hip hop movement and storytelling to explore themes of conformity, confinement, and the search for self. Commissioned by ETC Collective for the Wellington Fringe Festival, the production challenged audiences to ask: "Who are you without the mask?"

Brief:
Design a complete marketing campaign that captured the show's bold, unfiltered energy. The visual identity needed to feel raw, detatched, and the essence of collective rebellion, reflecting the physicality of the performers and the emotional weight of the work.

Deliverables:
- Brand Identity
- Promotional Photography
- Marketing Collateral (digital & print)
- Seamless Scroll Social Media Post

Creative Direction:
The design leaned into high contrast visuals, gritty textures, and stark typography to reflect both the inner conflict and release portrayed on stage. Movement was central to the photography, which focused on capturing moments of tension and freedom.
